Green Agriculture & Agro-Based Livelihoods

GRACE has developed strong expertise in Green Agriculture and Agro-based Livelihoods, focusing on sustainable solutions that empower farming communities and promote climate resilience. Our approach integrates Climate Smart Agriculture, Livestock, Poultry, and Aquaculture to enhance productivity while preserving ecosystems.

Currently, GRACE is implementing several innovative initiatives, including:

  1. Training on Climate Smart Agriculture, Livestock, Poultry, and Aquaculture — covering climate-resilient farming models, housing, feeding, disease management, and the use of bio-pesticides.

  2. Entrepreneurship Development — promoting local seed preservation, nursery development, poultry hatching, organic fertilizer production, and pest management.

  3. GRACE Agro Innovation Lab — established to observe local seed germination, crop production, demonstration plots, and safe food production practices.

  4. Vermicompost Production — promoting organic fertilizer use to reduce dependency on chemical inputs.

  5. Community Mobilization — engaging farmers on climate-smart agricultural practices and strengthening market linkages.

  6. SBCC and GIS-Based Monitoring — using Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) tools and GIS systems for evidence-based, routine progress tracking.

Through these interventions, GRACE contributes to building sustainable, climate-resilient, and market-oriented agricultural communities across Bangladesh.
