Health, Nutrition & WASH in Urban and Rural Areas
GRACE has over 15 years of extensive experience in the Health, Nutrition, and WASH sectors, both nationally and internationally. The organization has been deeply engaged in promoting Primary Health Care, advancing Universal Health Coverage (UHC), strengthening Nutrition Governance, and enhancing Community-Based Nutrition initiatives.
Our expertise focuses on improving the well-being of vulnerable communities through an integrated approach, addressing both preventive and promotive health measures. GRACE prioritizes Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) interventions, including:
- Training on Basic Nutrition and Gender to the community leaders
- Antenatal Care (ANC), Postnatal Care (PNC), Exclusive Breastfeeding (EBF), Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (EIBF), and Complementary Feeding, D-warming
- Food diversity for all (reproductive aged women, aged population and under 5 children including adolescent)
- Addressing Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and promoting healthy Food Habits and physical exercise
- Conducting Cooking Demonstrations and Community Nutrition Education for behavioral change.
- Acute Malnutrition (SAM) screening and referral mechanisms.
- Personal Hygiene of the Adolescent girls
- Day Observation (WHD, WBW, NNW, MHD,GHWD etc)
In partnership with government departments, NGOs, and INGOs, GRACE ensures effective stakeholder engagement and institutional coordination. The organization also supports the functionality of UNCC, DNCC, and UDCC platforms, strengthens routine health camps.
Through these initiatives, GRACE continues to contribute significantly to building healthier, more resilient communities across both urban and rural Bangladesh.
